knew it felt good to be a person who exercised. I knew that I was connecting with the core of my body and loving it by being willing to listen to it and move it. At that moment, I made the decision that I would contin- ue to forge that connection and trust that the results would come. More importantly, if the results didn’t come, I knew that I would continue to give to myself in this way. It resonated deep within me that what I was doing made sense because it was coming from within. What you give, you will receive. Over the next six months, I lost all seventy of those pounds. I developed a relationship with my body that is tight and intimate. This is how I know that I will never gain that weight back. I am not fighting against my body anymore. We listen and live in cooperation with each other. I didn’t sell it out for a quick result and I am so proud of that decision. The bonus is that I lost the weight perma- nently. When we focus on exercising to lose weight and what it’s going to give us, we usually pick exercise that is calorie-burning and usually very hard with little regard to what we might enjoy.
