habits and live our lives in a happy and comfortable way. We can understand on a deep fundamental level that weight isn’t really the issue and eating really isn’t the issue. We find that when we are happy and in line with our own guidance, we have no need to use food as an emotional tool. We have a tool belt filled with better ways to grow. I also believe that taking care of ourselves physically is our way of loving ourselves and our bodies. Connecting with the physical body and using emo- tional tools to cope, instead of using food, are steps toward a peaceful kind of wholeness. I believe eating fuel that truly feeds our body and exercising in a way that promotes health are essential. I believe that we can have a body we are comfortable in and a life that is free from obsession with food and weight. I also think we can live in the world and have a piece of cake and go to a party that has food without panicking.
