You can! You can feel joy by remembering how wonderful you are. You won’t need anyone else to tell you because you are telling it to yourself every day. Some of us don’t acknowledge ourselves and forget that our Creator doesn’t make anything less than fabulous. Don’t wait for compliments. Give them to yourself. Learn the skill of creating your own joy. Give yourself some credit for everything you have done to survive. Acknowledge yourself for reading a book in hopes of helping yourself grow. I often tell my clients to give themselves a standing ovation for getting out of bed in the morning (wouldn’t that be cool?). After you complete a successful show- er, give yourself a pat on the back. Sounds cheesy and corny? What’s the alternative?
